The exhibition TRANSPARENT BEAUTY: Glass from Croatian Museums, organized by three national museums – the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb, the Museum of Arts and Crafts, and the Mimara Museum, presents the greatest achievements of craft and artistic creation formed in glass from prehistory to the present day. This unique museum project involved, in addition to the main museums above, the participation of another thirty-three museums from throughout all of Croatia, and for the first time offers... Više the Croatian and international public insight into this exceptional aspect of the Croatian cultural and artistic heritage. The exhibition, presented simultaneously at three separate museums in Zagreb, features the most luxurious and unique examples of glass. The selected examples of transparent beauty clearly testify to the civilizational accomplishments and creativity of the artists, as well the richness of the glass collections in Croatian museums, placing those of our museums alongside the choicest exponents from the treasuries of European museums as a whole.
