Sažetak (engleski) This paper presents the standards of production processes for parallel video recording
of materials in the visual and near infrared spectrum as a new graphic technology. The
ZRGB-M video system is a method of parallel video recording of the visible (RGB) and near
infrared (NIR) spectrum and the reproduction of a spectrally expanded reality with the goal of
a multiple user experience.
The research described in this paper shows the technology and application of dual

reproduction in the visual performing arts. Art and science have long been considered as two
separate disciplines. At this time of development in digital technology, a new interdisciplinary
combination of science, art and technology emerged. The present use of the near infrared
spectrum is oriented towards highly specific activities, while its use in designing works of art
is neglected.
So far, the observed spectrum was used for the communication of digital devices, infrared
photography and in the visual arts for the detection of hidden layers of paint in artwork. In
this paper, only a part of the near infrared area was observed. The used terms infrared, near
infrared and NIR area, refer to the research of wavelengths from 800 nm - 1000 nm.
Observation of the infrared region is possible only with the use of electronic instruments.
A dual camera is designed for simultaneous recording of video in the visual and infrared
spectrum.
The ZRGB-M video camera captures images simultaneously through two lenses, by recording
separate responses in the visual (RGB) and infrared (Z) spectrum, in the same time and space.
Based on previous research for this study, the ZRGB-M camera system with GoPro cameras
is created, providing a high-resolution video image suitable for displaying on large screens.
The knowledge about using the near infrared values of set elements in performing arts is
widened.
With the help of the InfrareDesign method of active management within the infrared
spectrum, graphic elements, invisible to the bare eye are created.
Until the emergence of the InfrareDesign method, the theory of color management referred
only to color management of the visual perception of colors.
Infrared spectrum management in content design is based on the new CMYKIR color
separation method. Stenographic CMYKIR color separation means designing a color
composition that will have different values in the near infrared spectrum along with the givenRGB values in the visual spectrum. InfrareDesign printing technology has enabled an active
influence on infrared values of the observed matter.
When creating dual content separate for the visual and infrared part of the spectrum, this
technology enables the management of information invisible to the bare eye. By introducing
active control of the infrared values of the observed matter, the present mode of
communication assumes new values with multiple application possibilities.
This dissertation deals with the introduction of the ZRGB-M video system in the creation of
visual performing arts.
The discovery of active management of the NIR spectrum of matter and the simultaneous
display of dual-spectrum images raises the problem of production processes in an extended
multimedia project. The innovative ZRGB-M graphic technology is analyzed, enhancing it’s
development and accessibility of use. The lack of knowledge about the production processes
of this method of parallel video reproduction is an obstacle for introducing this new graphic
technology into practice.
This paper examines the current knowledge of the near infrared spectrum among
professionals in the visual media and based on the derived conclusions, suggests the
application of dual spectrum parallel reproduction in visual arts.
Development of general knowledge about hidden infrared data creates a new way of
observing the environment around us.
Using the infrared spectrum to display content, a new space has been created that is included
in within the standard observation of our environment.
This paper presents the two-spectral video reproduction as an innovative creative authorial
area in the creation of visual performing arts.
In proof of the thesis of creating an innovative creative authorship area, a new communication
platform was designed, consisting of a cinematic and stage-performing part.
A screenplay for film and the theater stage was created as media for displaying expanded
communication. By creating a relationship between the visible and instrumentally visible
image opens a new area of authorship.
Set and costume designs are created with different values in the visual and near infrared
spectrum. The elements were recorded with modified double ZRGB-M cameras for parallel
recording of dual information. The so-formed spectral video twins developed an expanded
graphic representation of the content. By designing a parallel reproduction graphic process, a
combination of technology and art emerged through the provocative intellectual interaction of
the obvious and hidden communications.Integration of science and technological achievements of the new era within the artistic field
opens space for a variety of fusion of these two branches.
The technologically advanced art scene becomes the basis for new creative thinking, and thus
the development of new artistic directions.
The production phases of the multimedia video reproduction of the dual spectrum were
presented for future designers of scenic visual activities. Authors of visual media art have
been given the space to create invisible, yet machine-readable data.
By defining the production steps for the realisation of expanded multimedia projects of
different content for the visible and to the eye-invisible part of the spectrum, a new area of
responsibilities and job descriptions of all participants of the process has been opened. The
author of the dual-spectrum content that is being observed must know the steps of the ZRGBM production process.
Designers, scenographers and costume designers have to create the elements and playing
props, taking into account the parallel view of the visible and invisible part of the spectrum.
Using the InfrareDesign technology, the field of communication design in the presentation of
scenic works has been extended to an invisible area to the bare eye. Video reproduction of the
visual and infrared spectrum confirmed the theses of creating an innovative area of
authorship. The production process of filmmaking and theatrical work in parallel dualspectrum digital video reproduction is proven as a new method in graphic technology.
The possibility of developing innovative ways to use ZRGB-M video systems in design and
communication is opened, for the benefit of users and authors. The research in this paper sets
out the possibilities and suggestions of using the ZRGB-M graphic technology method for the
visual and near infrared spectrum for all future authors of performing and interdisciplinary
arts. Sakrij dio sažetka
