Bus and train station with ferry port are on of the most busiest traffic complex in city of Split. While situated in the very center of the town they're allowing transfer of passengers and cargo via road, railway or sea. The thing which marks them is very high fluctuation of traffic, especially during the summer tourist season. These unique areas of increased traffic complexity may be difficult for the visually impaired person to move independently if they are not fully accommodated, ie accessible.The term inaccessible space implies that visually impaired people despite the use of strategies and techniques for safe, effective and independent movement still faces barriers in the same. The aim of the paper is to analyze the internal and external accessibility of certain parts of the traffic complex with the assessment of the overall adaptation and accessibility of the mentioned space. The analysis will be based on the '''Pravilniku o osiguranju pristupačnosti građevina osobama s invaliditetom i smanjene pokretljivosti'' (NN, br. 78/13) and the principles of universal design, a design that is mostly usable for all people, without the need for adjustments or some special design (HUPT, 2015). The problematic issues of the paper are to analyze the measure in which the Rolebook (Pravilnik) and the principles of universal design applied in the mentioned spatial-traffic complex. If the analysis does not demonstrate the accessibility of the complex, the paper will also include adaptation guidelines and emphasize the importance of providing opportunities for the independet mobility of visually impaired people. The questionnaire will contain particles that will describe the conditions and ways of ensuring the independent mobility of the visually impaired visually to the external and internal space, such as: Braille's orientation plan for mobility on the Braille letter, sound signaling on the traffic lights, accessible tactile surfaces such as the guideline, warning lines and the like. It will also collect data on domestic and foreign research on this subject for the sake of a better comparison. Based on the questionnaire, qualitative data processing and descriptive analysis will be performed and will provide guidelines for adapting those criteria that are considered as unsatisfied by the questionnaire, if any.
