Growth and development are the main drivers of any enterprise. To survive in the market, it is necessary to be better than the competition, to strive for a new innovative solution. This paper deals with defining and analyzing job design and leadership styles, the impact they have on employees and on the overall effect it has on the organization and what is their connection with innovative behavior. This master thesis defines innovation and explains the connection between creativity and employee innovation. No less important are the factors influencing innovative behavior also explained in one of the chapters. How leadership style can affect an individual variable is described in more detail through comparisons of transformational and transactional leadership, as well as the necessity of correct action of managers and leaders in correlation with their subordinates. No less important is the job design and what it should be in innovative organizations, it is a variable that significantly affects innovative behavior as can be seen from the empirical part of this paper. The work consists of theoretical and empirical parts. The empirical survey was conducted through a questionnaire, and a total of 63 people participated in it. The survey determined the characteristics of job design and transformational leadership in small and medium-sized enterprises and, in addition, determined the correlation between these variables and innovative work behavior
