Down syndrome is a disorder that occurs due to chromosome 21 anomaly. As a Down syndrome indicator, there is a specific facial appearance and mental retardation. What needs to be stressed is the need for constant rehabilitation or kinesitherapy program to improve the child's motor skills. It is therefore evident that the beneficial effects of physical activity are not limited to physical health alone, that is, the positive effect is perceived for psychological health as well as cognitive, social, affective and moral development of children. By adopting bodily activities, children successfully master different skills. As a consequence, a positive feeling is felt. Self-esteem and faith increase. The basic aim of the paper is to show the kinesiotherapy program for children with Down Syndrome and to perform the same with all the positive outcomes. Kinesitherapy is very improtant because it is a discipline wich contributes to curing birth deformations, illnesses or injuries through motion. The aim of kinesitherapy is to improve the activity of a certain body part or the whole organism, which is essential for the people suffering from Down Syndrome. Persons with Down Syndrome are prone to being overweigth so it is important to fill their everyday lives with a lot of motion activites. Kinesitherapy gives them a great basis for it because it connects motion and rehabilitation. Furthermore, kinesitherapy affects the muscular growth and it is known that persons with Down Syndrome are prone to hypotonia and they need muscular growth acitivites in their everyday lives.
